For those of y’all who would like to partner with me in prayer, this blog post is dedicated to prayer needs and praises that have become evident while living on the mountain.

We are experiencing a lot of heaviness at the campsite, and we, as a squad, have been trying to battle against it through worship and prayer. I want to invite y’all into prayer with us as we continue to fight as warriors for the Kingdom of God.

These are some things that we could use prayer for:

  • There is a lot of darkness in the community here. Some specifics: drunkenness, physical abuse, sexual abuse, gang activity, poverty.
  • Darkenss has led to a spiritual heaviness that can be felt here. Some specifics: resentment, abandonment, hopelessness, anger, fear, unworthiness.
  • Several people have been physically ill or injured. Specific struggles: rashes, lightheaded/dizziness, nausea, kidney stones, concussions, bee stings, back inflammation, leg inflammation, head colds, migraines, fatigue, diarrhea. Five of us have been to the hospital since getting here and about a dozen of us are currently fighting against something.
  • Several people have not been sleeping well at night. Specific struggles: little sleep or no sleep, nightmares, loud distractions outside, bugs, popped sleeping pads, stray dogs running into tents, multiple bathroom visits.
  • Several people have had things happening back home to friends and family.
  • We believe there are negative spirits lingering around the campsite as well – Specifically in the kitchen, someone identified the spirit of anger.
  • Pray for the hearts of the people we encounter through ministry, on the mountain, or in the city. Our specific ministries: the new church, women’s ministry, house visits.

I also want to address that God has been doing a lot of good here on the mountain! We’ve been blessed to see so much fruit already!

Here are some praises:

  • We have made a lot of progress on the church! It’s not yet finished, but we’ve already held three services on the plot of land, and several locals have attended!
  • We have been able to do women’s ministry here and simply love on some of the women and their children. We’ve cooked with them, taught home-ec classes, played games, hosted bible studies, made bracelets, and will be putting on a couple of Beauty for Ashes events with them as well in the coming weeks (these are events meant to bring freedom and healing into their lives). Many women look forward to the next meet-ups and have been experiencing the love of the Father through them!
  • We have also done several house visits to some of the more remote homes. We’ve shared the gospel, gave food, and prayed over the people who lived there. Some of these people have been coming to the church services!
  • God has continually provided material and monetary needs for each of these ministries as well as opportunities for these ministries to take place!

God has put it strongly on my heart to be a prayer warrior specifically for this season and this community. I consider prayer to be a powerful thing, so please praise the Lord for what He has done and also continue to pray for these ministries and the people here!

Thank you so much for choosing to partner with us in prayer!

“And pray in the Spirit in all occasions, with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18

  1. Covering you with prayers of protection and rebuking any curses through the power of His blood as you minister to His beloved people. The Lord our God is the Mighty One! ????????

  2. No idea why my comment has a bunch of question marks after it, and I can’t figure out how to revise it so … delete them in your mind. ??
