What Does a Day Look Like In Guate?

Hi y’all! I’ve been here in Guate for about 3 weeks now. We’ve been living at New Generation church and working on the base doing various things such as: building and plastering walls for the room we’re living in, building doors and tables, painting walls and doors, wiring a floor, dirt sifting and mixing cement, digging a trench, digging a six foot hole for a water tank (length, width, and height), filling and stacking sand bags, and lots of prayer and worship!

We were released from quarantine today and starting next week, we’ll be able to go out into the community to do ministry. We’ll be partnering with the police, playing soccer with the locals, handing out meals to people in need, painting trees, and praying for people!

Our hosts have been so welcoming and loving towards us! Their heart posture for the Lord is truly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! They walk with such humility, with open hands for how God wants to use them, and with an eternal mindset. They have already influenced how I choose to walk in Jesus, and it’s been neat to get to know them and their hearts for Chichi!

It’s been cool to see how God has been using us already, how He has brought me closer into intimacy with Him, how He has brought us closer to each other in community, and how He is going to use us to impact the people and community of Chichicastenango, Guatemala!

Thank you for continuing to follow my journey, and I’ve appreciated all the prayers and support so far! My prayer for y’all is that God uses my journey to impact your journey with Him as well! Love y’all!
