He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” – Mark 16:15
Dear Family and Friends,
I hope you are doing well! It is hard for me to believe that I am in my last year of school and that I will be graduating in the spring! I have so much loved my time at Mayville State University, and I have grown so much both personally and spiritually during my time here!
I pray that the Lord would give me opportunities to share His love and the life He has for us all, and He has been so gracious to have given me so many while I’ve been here at MSU. He has called me to be a leader for Cru – Campus Crusade for Christ. Cru is a nondenominational faith-based organization on campus to bring people to Jesus, disciple them, and send them out to do God’s work. I have been blessed to have had the opportunity to take part in God’s mission on campus, and I am excited to see what God wants me to do after I graduate. Well, He has given me an unimaginable experience to go on the World Race!
The World Race is an 11-month mission trip to 11 countries around the world. Through the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in prostitution because of human trafficking, and bring hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. For me specifically, my mission field will start in Costa Rica and go on to Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, and end in Indonesia. I launch in October 2020!
The World Race has been a dream of mine for quite awhile since I first heard of it on my mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2015. I have always felt a tug on my heart, longing me to go on this mission, and I can only assume that God has put it there! I am excited to see how God will work and to see how much I will grow in my walk with God! He is a good and mighty God!
This trip is an opportunity for God’s family to grow! In order for me and my team to be His hands and feet on this mission, we are going to need lots of prayer. Prayer is a powerful thing, and I cannot imagine going on the World Race without it. I’d love to have all the support I can get in prayer! I would love to have you walk beside me on this journey through prayer and play a part in furthering God’s kingdom!
In addition to prayer support, I am needing to raise $17,700 over the next year which will cover the cost of all transportation, food, housing, insurance, and other miscellaneous costs. Please prayerfully consider supporting me during my journey. Any amount that you feel led to donate will help! All donations are tax deductible. *
There are two ways to financially donate:
- Via my blog [https://juliannabarker.theworldrace.org/] – I will be posting regularly to keep you updated on my journey.
- By check. Please make all checks payable to Adventures in Missions. I have enclosed a fundraising card that must be filled out and sent with your check to the address listed on the card.
I am so excited for this journey, and it is my hope that you would be exited too! Please consider supporting me! I look forward to hearing from you!
With love,
Julianna
