ยกBuenos dias amigos! Hope you're all doing well!

Today, God gave me the opportunity to do children's ministry at the local church here in Jaco! And I wanted to quickly share with y'all how God showed up!

Friday night, I was told that I needed to create my own lesson for my age group. I had no topic or direction whatsoever, Saturday was supposed to be my Sabbath, and I needed it planned by Sunday morning. But I felt God tugging at my heart, telling me to say "yes" and that He's got this. So the plan was to ask God for a topic, go to a coffee shop, use the wifi to look up ideas for activities, crafts, and/or games to go with it, and rely on the Holy Spirit to do His work.

So, God and I went on a walk, and I was asking Him for ideas. He led me to the story in scripture where Jesus called to Simon Peter and Andrew while they were fishing. He asked them to drop everything, to follow Him, and that He will teach them to fish for men. He wanted me to teach the kids how to live a life following Him and on mission every day.

I was super pumped about this idea (thanks God!) and shared the topic idea to my squadmate who was overseeing all the age groups on our way to the coffee shop later that day. I was catching up on my messages and emails when I saw an email from the lady running the children's ministry at the church. The email was sent just that day saying they found a lesson for us to do. Confused, because I felt the Lord so strongly telling me what to do, I open the lesson plan.

Guys! It was a six-page lesson plan on the same story! Like what?! The same scripture with the same focus! All I had to do was trust God! He just wanted to show me that I needed to rely on Him and He would provide!

He didn't have to do all that. He could've just provided the lesson plan at the beginning. Or He could've not provided the plan at all and have me completely rely on Him. Instead, He chose to affirm His character of being a purposeful God and teach me a little something about reliance along the way!

Ahh! I just can't get enough! Thanks God!
