Hey y’all! So sorry for the late update – there has been so much going on and not a whole lot of access to wifi, but here you go!

We’ve been in Honduras for almost a month now, and we’re living up on a mountain in a remote community about an hour outside of the city of Comayagua. We’re staying in our tents and living a life of abandonment and simplicity.

We have no wifi or electricity and only one toilet for 60+ people, yet it has been an opportune time to live in community with each other and the 25 Hondurians that live and serve alongside us. We have no choice but to pour into one another and just love each other really well, but also to sit and just be with God as well in such a beautiful place. These opportunities have been just so sweet and tender, and I thank God for blessing me with them!

For our ministry days, we have been building a church out of bamboo and wood! Many of the locals don’t have the opportunity to go to church due to the remoteness of their location, so it has been really cool to be the hands and feet of God for these people. We’ve been going into the jungle woods with a machete to cut down bamboo and trees, and then carrying them on our shoulders to build this church. I’ve got to say – I’m starting to get the hang of using a machete well!

It’s hard work, yet so rewarding, and I’m so grateful that God has brought me on this journey to be a part of this particular furthering of His Kingdom! I know that God is a faithful God, so I can trust that He will use this church and this time and these people for His glory. I can trust that fruit will come out of it – most likely in ways I will never see! And I can trust that He will work in me intimately, as I walk in this season.

Isn’t it cool that our God is a God like that?!

Meanwhile, I really appreciate all the prayers so far, and I am going to ask y’all to continue praying for us! This has been challenging for some of us, and the enemy is trying to discourage us in any way he can. A lot of us – me included – have gotten sick or injured. Some people have been struggling with nightmares and/or poor sleep. And there has also been some attacks happening at our homes with our families. Please pray for strength and perseverance, along with reliance on our Father and abundant joy as we continue to serve!

Love you all and thank you for all the support so far!
