TRIP UPDATES!!!

Hi everyone!

First off, I would like to thank y’all for your prayers and your patience these past few months as we are going through changes regarding my mission trip. I have some updates for y’all!

BIG UPDATES – WHEN AND WHERE!

I am no longer leaving in October due to COVID-19 restrictions. The new plan is to leave in January. I will also be going to different countries that will be more accessible to US citizens. As of right now, we are thinking that we will be going to to the following countries/regions and branching out from there.

• Central America – starting in Costa Rica
• Southeast Asia – starting in Thailand
• Southern Asia – starting in India
• Southern Africa – starting in eSwatini

I will let you know more soon, when I know more information about where and what we will be doing!

Obviously, these are some big changes, and they have been difficult for me to adjust to. I was really excited to leave in October. I have been praying for and eagerly waiting to see God work in my original countries. I started to get to know my squad mates and was looking forward to meeting them and getting to know them more while on the race. Now, these have changed too.

BUT, God has been working in my heart and I have come to acceptance with these changes. He has been teaching me to rely on His timing, His will, and His plan for ME. Reliance is a hard concept for me because it is easier to rely on myself than others. But God is teaching me to rely COMPLETELY on Him because He knows what is best. I will see God work on my new route and I will see Him work in me no matter what the plan is and/or will be!

FINANCIAL UPDATES!

Also, thank you for your generosity so far financially! I still have about $10,000 to raise, but y’all have helped me surpass my current deadlines! My next deadline isn’t until the end of February, and I will need to have $13,000 raised by then. God has been so GOOD with fundraising, and I am so appreciative to all of y’all for your support so far! THANK YOU!

TRAINING CAMP UPDATES!

I will still be leaving for training camp in October. Training Camp is an intense week-long experience where I and my teammates meet in Georgia to connect deeply with the Lord and each other. Through teaching, prayer, scenarios, and relationship building, I will step out of fear and shame and into intimacy with the Father. I’ll also receive training on how to partner with God to establish His Kingdom on Earth.

I will need your prayers! I am excited for this experience, but I am also terrified! Training Camp is designed to challenge me because they want to prepare me for the road ahead. They will put me in scenarios sure to stretch me, refine me, and bring me closer to Christ. Please pray that God will change me and bring me closer to Him through this experience and pray that I will be vulnerable and open to have Him do so!

I also NEED all of my materials for the race at training camp. We will be sleeping in our tents and living in the wild for seven days. Pray for that too please! I’m nervous for the ice cold bucket showers… I have some things, but I am still in need of some gear. If you are willing to help me out with some of those items, that would be greatly appreciated!!!!
